Buying meat that is raised the organic way can have many benefits to you, your family and the environment. The treatment of the animals is the largest difference between conventional and organic livestock. Many government regulations have been put in place to control what the animals are fed, how they are housed and what measures should be used in the overall care. In addition, organic livestock are free from injected drugs such as antibiotics and grown hormones. This does not mean that antibiotics are not used.
